Risks of using ear cleaning sticks

Using oud to clean the ear can carry some risks if it is not used carefully and cautiously.  Here are some common risks that may result from incorrect use of cotton swabs for ear cleaning:

  1. Ear infections:

If the oud is inserted too deeply into the ear canal, it may injure the delicate tissue inside the ear.  This can lead to bleeding or rupture of the auditory canal.

  2. Push the wax deeper:

In some cases, using a Q-Tip can help push the wax deeper into the ear instead of removing it.  This can cause larger clumps of wax to form, making ear cleaning more difficult.

  3. Irritation and inflammation:

Cutting the ear canal or inner tissue of the ear can cause irritation and inflammation.  This can cause pain and redness in the ear.

  4. Damage to the eardrum:

If the wand comes into contact with the eardrum while cleaning, it may damage the eardrum, causing temporary or permanent hearing loss.

  5. Excessive cleaning frequency:

Frequent ear cleaning with an ointment can increase the possibility of wax buildup and make the ear more susceptible to problems.

  In conclusion

To avoid these risks, agarwood should be used with extreme caution and rarely.  If you are experiencing ear problems such as a large buildup of wax or pain inside the ear, it is best to consult an ear specialist for advice and appropriate treatment.
